Slam Dunk Festival seems to have blown other UK fests out of the water this morning with their first announcement. There have been rumours floating around for months on end, and this morning there was finally the beginning of resolution for the festival’s dedicated attendees.
Previous headliners Taking Back Sunday, Reel Big Fish, and You Me At Six make a return, with the Surrey quintet taking the top of the bill. Straight up British rock Lower Than Atlantis look to be joining the main stage party. Goldfinger appear to be making up for the performance they had to pull out of last year due to an illness, with Sweden’s Millencolin in tow.
Not pop punk enough for you? Don’t panic, there’s plenty! The Wonder Years return with Queens’ punk rock Bayside, Michigan’s Fireworks. UK pop punk heroes Neck Deep make an appearance and their recent UK headliner mates Knuckle Puck.
The heavier side of the festival is represented by Gallows, Osaka’s crazy metalcore quintet Crossfaith, and punk New Yorkers H2O. Hardcore begins to get its fill in the form of Canada’s Comeback Kid, and Massachusetts’ Bane.
With 40 artists still to be announced, it’s no doubt that Slam Dunk’s 10 year anniversary is going to go off with a bang. Make sure you pick up your tickets before it sells out! Dates are below.
